How To Send Me A Story.
1. Shoot Me a Message on Bluesky or Here.
After having a bad experience with ICE or with the affect of this administration's policies in general (this includes having a loved one taken by ICE, being harassed by a Trump Supporter, or something to that effect), send me a message summarizing what happened and I'll get back to you.
2. I'll Respond, Informing You on If the Story Will Be Written or Not, and You Can Further Detail the Incident.
Once I've seen your request and responded, you can offer a more detailed explanation of the events that occurred. This will be done either in my email or on my Bluesky account. See my original Groundrules Post for a more specified explanation of that.
Your experience has to be detailed if I'm going to cover it. This includes date, approximate time, location (state and county), and names. If you feel uncomfortable sharing your name, you may remain anonymous, though that may damage the record. Please link photo or video if you have them.
3. I'll Write The Article.
With the information provided to me in Step Two, I'll write an article to keep record of your story. This may take up to two weeks, depending on my other obligations and how many other requests there are. Please be mindful of this and visit my original Groundrules Post if you want extra clarification on timing.
4. The Article Will Be Posted Here.
Once my writing is complete, the article will be posted here for everyone who visits my blog to view.
5. (OPTIONAL) If Requested, I Will Post A Link to The Article on My Bluesky Account to Get Your Story More Publicity.
I cannot stress enough that this step is optional. The Article may be seen by people who come to my blog from Bluesky, considering the fact that this page is linked, but do not ever feel pressured to take the extra step of allowing me to highlight your experience if it's unwanted. I understand that it's likely that the accounts you share with me may be traumatic or personal, so it's completely rational if all you want to do is have me tell your story. It will be an honor to archive your story, regardless of if you do this or not.
That's all!
